John Chamberlain
THE HEDGE 1997
painted mild steel and chromium plated steel.

"The HEDGE" is made up of 16 units, each 4' x 4' x 1'. The artist uses junked van-roofs and bumpers as his raw material. As more automobiles are made with plastics, it is more difficult to find metal car parts. The artist has taken to pre-painting the metal, since the factory colors have gone drab, too.
