Kiki Smith
wax figure on plexi. box with 21 colored pencil on paper drawings.

A guarded yet attentive figure. The drawings are delicate, almost tentative studies of it: a face, a fragment of shoulder, crossed hands. The exhibition also includes a video, a series of glass nests, a series of snowflake-objects, and preparatory studies on paper drawn from observations made by the artist at the Museum of Natural History in New York and the Peabody Museum of Natural History in New Haven, Connecticut.
